Confederation of Indian Food Trade and Industry (CIFTI), the only industry association of its kind in the country, was established by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in 1985 to cater specifically to the need of the Food Industry and Trade. CIFTI not only provides institutional support at the national level but also plays a pivotal role in partnering with the Government and the private sector in promoting the development of food processing on the global platform.

CIFTI's gamut of activities not only covers the food-processing sector but also and food services industry etc. Representing directly and indirectly around 2500 companies (a wide and varied spectrum of the food industry) CIFTI is supported by strong networking with similar organizations, both at the national as well as at the global level.
